From a humble tree surgeon to a global security brand 

1992, in a small village in the Northwest of England, Founder, Higginson was a trained tree surgeon and forester with a passion for fast cars and an affinity for problem solving. 

In the golden era of “hot hatch” car’s, their security was no match for criminals and a theft epidemic soon ensued. In response to the theft of two personal Ford Escort RS Turbo vehicles within the same year, Higginson set out with an idea to thwart future attempts. Little did he know, a ground breaking device would be created and is still considered the strongest steering wheel lock in the world today. 

 

Since launch in 1993, Disklok has consistently exceeded expectations in terms of quality, performance, and approval among security professionals. This innovative device stands out as the sole product in the market that rotates on the steering wheel, preventing the vehicle’s steering wheel lock from being compromised, the wheel being cut, thwarting the theft of airbag assemblies and modern advanced theft techniques such as key cloning and keyless “relay” entry thefts.
